KEMPER 'Protect' backflow preventer BA
to DIN EN 1717
Safely shields against polluted water
The new DIN EN 1717 standard lays down uniform pan-European requirements for drinking water installations and systems so as to safeguard drinking water against non-potable water. This standard differentiates between the areas of use for protection valves and devices and defines the permissible fluid categories.
It means that especially planners, plumbers and fitters, in addition to the water supply companies, are increasingly exposed to a risk of liability. The installation of a protection device, however, can effectively prevent the backflow of non-potable water or of other substances from defective apparatus into drinking water supply systems.
KEMPER offers you a reliable, technically perfected solution for this purpose. The new, patented KEMPER ‘Protect’ backflow preventer BA (BA = with controllable reduced pressure zone) shields drinking water from non-potable water up to and including fluid category 4. It is made completely of stainless steel and comes with flange connections from DN 65 - 150.
