Labour intensive heating system filling was yesterday

The new KEMPER 'Fill-Matic 3' and 'Fill-Matic 4' permanently connect the heating system with the drinking water system. That makes filling and refilling comfortable and safe. The integrated safety devices reliably prevent non-potable water from the heating system reaching the drinking water network. That means heating systems can be secured without inhibitors up to fluid category 3 or with inhibitors up to fluid category 4 according to the European standard DIN EN 1717.

In drinking water heating plants, increased scale formation can lead to inhibition of the heat exchange and to undesired temperature increases on the heat exchanger surfaces. According to VDI 2035-1, in such cases water softening units then need to be planned in independent of the power or corresponding to the total carbonate hardness for the filling and supplemental water. If water-softening units are required, this can only be implemented using the 'Fill-Matic 4'.
